Let there be light!

Jenny hosted the December WAC. Members decorated light switch plates with paper and fabric using Modge Podge to affix and shellac to shine.  Melissa was creative and decoupaged her planner! Yummy chili, corn bread, veggies, and cupcakes were served a la Whole Foods. Click here for more pictures.

Pampering and Relaxation

Melissa hosted this luxurious WAC event. Guests dined on chole and veggies (the former and latter were creative inspirations) which was accompanied by wine. For dessert, guests were delighted by awesome chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches. After dinner, guests made organic face masks using recipes from Organic Body Care Recipes by Stephanie Tourles.  Most of the ingredients were purchased online. With their faces glowing, guests made lip balm made with beeswax, almond oil and honey which was a lovely take home treat. It was a great evening of pampering and relaxation! Halloween WAC

Thaveshni did a great job hosting and chose a festive Halloween theme for the October WAC. Our activity was pumpkin carving with templates from HGTV. We munched on yummy kabobs, homemade pumpkin ice cream, and baked seeds from our very own pumpkins!

Tips for a long-lasting carved pumpkin: 1. Use the right tools. Our hostess found these carving kits that worked wonders.  2. Keep your creation mold free. A simple method to make sure your pumpkin is display ready until Halloween, light it every night.

Children of the 80's

The second WAC event was hosted by Nichole. The activity was a throw back from our childhood...Shrinky Dinks! We made necklaces, earrings, and key chains...and giggled like kids as they shrunk in the oven!
The dinner was simple for the hostess with some take-out from Nizario's Pizza, homemade sangria, and a yummy raspberry cake from Sugar Butter Flour.
